I bought this kit of a Japanese "Zero with pontoons" just to see what I could do with it.
Short answer: Nothing...
Long answer: ... Unless I make radiators of the pontoons, add a pair of ME-262 engines, and put it all on a computer mouse.
And add lots of bright red.
Ya know... Turn the engines and wings around, hang a fin down what is now the tail, and it would be an even better ship! In fact, lemme just... No, no, I got more things to paint. This guy has to stay as he is. Or... Maybe not!
Lopped-off the engine mounts from the fuselage and tuned them around. Now the engines and wings say the ship is going the other way! Maybe a fin under the new tail will cement the "new direction" of things. Hmm... This fin did not! Ended-up duplicatiing a side fin to reinforce the directional story the other fins were telling. Now, with that all done, whadda we got?
Well, if this ship is all about, "the big end leads," then the engines should have stayed the way they were, replacing the exhausts with domes and adding the exhausts to the other end.
Say, maybe I can pry those engines off one more time and...
