I love taking a car model kit - Like this Chevy Corvette - Folding the front under the back so the wheel wells match-up and become the place where the 'ship's AG drive is housed, and using guns and more car parts to be a spaceship.

The engines are the ubiquitous Number 7 Lab engines with 4 flickering LEDs in each and a grill in front of it, a photo-etched brass piece from an aftermarket custom Hot Wheels hub.
