I finished most of this ship more than a year ago. Primered it, meaning that I was done with construction. The fat end was the bow with one large launch bay flanked by two smaller ones. The command deck module was above the engine, small end pointed forward. Even though I was finished with its construction, I couldn't bring myself to paint it. It just wasn't right somehow.

Time goes by with this thing mounted above my desk where I can look at it all the time.

Then I changed my mind. Small end goes forward, big end is aft. Cut off the command module and spun it around to face the new front. Made the large launch bay the beginnings of a large engine. Added two more engines to the back. Much more detailing. Now it looks right.

There's lots of pictures of the initial structure you can look through. Apparently I started with the bow of a ship, a Boing Tilt-Rotor, and a Hawker Harrier. The distinctive shape of the Harrier looks to have been completely covered over. The red thing is a measuring cup I bought at Round Top. The seller was surprised anybody would want it.
