Last year I built a Fighter as a gift for a LonestarCon friend's mother who used to be a model builder but not in decades. It was one of several ships I've had laying about half-built, and one of three such ships made from the booms from an old 1/72 P-38 Lightning. To this one, since I had more time to work on it, resuming construction right after LonestarCon, I added more parts. So many more that it changed the character almost entirely. For one, the wings were completely hidden under new wings made from a 1/72 Hawker Harrier. I also added as more wings the side panels originally built (and painted!) for the Shark-Class Liner. I added a pair of old airliner engines to the wings.
