The 2004 Noreascon4 Fleet

An unusual year, anymore, in that I actually finished some before the Con. Starting, of course, with the Interdictors, the first of many ships this year seemingly made as a collection of junk. Also, this year, every ship I took to Wonderfest won an award.

Robert Robbins

Interdictor Robert Robbins

The first Interdictor built this year, and the first of four ships in John Lester's Other Guys contest. A Wonderfest Bronze Award winner.
Reaver

Interdictor Reaver

Started a year ago, put it aside for a while, picked it up again, and finished it first this year. And marked to match it's display-mate, Big Blue.
Jim Nevermann

Scout Jim Nevermann

Compact. Blue. Deadly. And probably the last of my amphibian-turned-spaceships. A Wonderfest Bronze Award winner.
Granite Gorge

Trance-Class Freighter Granite Gorge

Freighter featured in a fabulous Firefly fanfic. See it docked with Serenity!
Pandora

Pandora, a Rolling Thunder-Class Freighter

Another ship from a tres cool Firefly fanfic. Originaly a C-130-esque combat lander converted to tough freighter. A Wonderfest Bronze Award winner and a Scalefest Second Place winner.
Freighter

Freighter

Took two paint schemes and swapping ends to make it work. A Wonderfest Silver Award winner and a Scalefest First Place winner.
JDINER

JDINER-Class Fighter

The first ship to be built this year, named after the author of TyTool, the premiere TiVo video extraction tool. A Wonderfest Bronze Award winner.
Adroit-Class Shuttle

Adroit-Class Shuttle

With purple and green stripes and a jelly-bean body, I considered naming it "Southwestern Thumb". A Wonderfest Bronze Award winner and a Scalefest Third Place winner.
Fighter Agile Gryphon

Fighter Agile Gryphon

Had no luck checking thesaurus entries for "duck" so I elected to name it to match the decals "AG". Kinda does look a bit like a gryphon, though.
JKRANK Interceptor

JKRANK Interceptor

What do you do for an American film producer and blog owner in Bulgaria in appreciation for all he's done to entertain his fans with stories of alien (Eastern-european) life and improve our image? A mutual friend commissioned this piece for him.
USC Fighter

USC Fighter

What you do with an old shower knob, some plastic tube, and a desire to experience the instant gratification of kitbuilders.
Guilmette Interceptor

Guilmette Interceptor

Ron Guilmette, THE anti-spammer, has always been ahead of his time. It is only fitting that for the second time I've named a spaceship after him. Particularly this ship, as it was constructed in a novel fashion.
Carrier

Carrier

A ship that didn't sell at DragonCon a decade ago.
Fralthi Attack Carrier

Fralthi Attack Carrier

Another ship that didn't sell at DragonCon a decade ago gets a rennovation with some fabulous alien decals by jbot.
